Oh, what an age we live in!
How freakin' lucky are we?
Connect with the world,
all for only one low monthly fee!
Soon as I plugged in my router,
I felt like a part of the group.
Lady Gaga?
Of course I know all about her,
all the latest scoop!
'Cuz every little click brings new information,
flowing crazy fast, raw and unchecked.
Welcome to the Internet Generation --
Whoa-oh, come on and connect!
Check out the world's cutest baby!
My sister -- she just had her third!
Thank God I just happened to be checking Facebook.
THAT'S how I heard the word!
Oh, every little click brings fam'lies together.
Every pic is quick and slick and direct.
Stumble on a new profound revelation.
Whoa-oh, it's easy to
Connect with siblings living in Arizona,
or old flames, now morbidly obese...
Download all your favorite Ke$ha songs --
don't pay a dime!
It's a victimless crime!
(Right? Right? Right!)
Never had luck with the ladies,
I was sleepin' alone every night.
Then I met this "girl" named "Mercades"
on a singles dating site.
One little click on a profile,
one little innocent chat,
then two solid weeks on sexy texting,
and that was that!
Although we've never met,
I know she's my soulmate.
Yes, I know exactly who to expect
on that fateful day we first meet in person.
Whoa-oh, I know that we'll connect!
Extra points for Skype-ing while you're driving.
Extra points for illegally streaming porn.
Every morning, add a few dozen "friends".
Don't wanna die alone?
Go out and buy an iPhone!
(an APPLE iPhone...)
No one ever has to feel they're excluded.
Do away with pain, ennui and neglect.
People 'round the world have never been closer.
Whoa-oh!
Whoa-oh?
(Everyone glares at the girl furiously texting, whose solo line it is)
Ooops, sorry...
Connect!
Connect!
Anyone on Earth can see what you're doing
at any given time -- Isn't it great?
"Public" is the new "Private!"
Don't wait!
Gotta get connected,
gotta do what's expected of you!
Gotta gotta get a router,
gotta know about her,
gotta gotta know about her,
all about her!
It's time to open all your doors.
What is there really to protect?
Come claim the corner that is yours!
Do it now!!

Pride
03:31
|

CLARKE: It's not just the baby. It's everything. It seems like every day something reminds me that I'm not where I need to be.
Remember Kat, that girl from work,
who's been there for, like, years?
The one who studied modern dance?
The one who really stood a chance?
I mean, my God, those legs...
JACOB: I remember.
CLARKE: Anyways...
I get to work the other day
and find out Kat has quit.
She's moving back to Tennessee.
To do what, exactly, don't ask me!
I guess she'd finally had enough...
It's foolish, but I can't dismiss
subtle little signs like this,
reminding me there's
one thing I still miss:
That sense of Pride,
that feeling I've accomplished something great.
I need that Pride --
a nine-to-five is not my fate!
JACOB: I know it sucks that we're still working day jobs, but at least we're still here. We haven't gone back to Indiana.
CLARKE:
Sure as hell, I don't regret
moving to New York.
Mom was always at my throat,
never liked a thing I wrote --
I'm sure she's glad I'm gone.
JACOB: I'm sure she's not...
CLARKE:
And, sure as hell, I don't regret
the day that I met you.
You're the one who knows me best,
calms me down when I get stressed,
and gives me strength to go on...
I only thought, by now, I'd be
maybe not a celebrity,
but established,
known to some degree.
To feel that Pride,
to tell my Mother, "Listen, YOU were wrong!"
And know, inside,
this was the right decision all along!
CLARKE (picking up JACOB'S bartender apron): C'mon, you seriously can't relate?
Does this here fulfill you?
Deep down, it must kill you --
so gifted and, still, you
tend bar.
Yeah, it's not the worst choice.
But, far from your first choice.
Tending bar isn't who you are.
Are you really proud of our lives so far?
And lastly, but not least of all,
I think about our kid.
What am I supposed to say
on that inevitable day
he comes to me and asks if
dreams come true?
I need the Pride
to smile and tell him:
"Yes, they do."

BLOGGERS:
He can't get the girl.
He's belting high A's.
I'm in my parent's basement
counting down the days.
But, every waking hour goes so slow.
We want another episode of ROMEO!
I can't wait
'til the upload date to see!
O.M.G.!
SETH (on the phone): Hey! Don't know if you've checked the numbers today -- we are blazing! Call me!
BLOGGERS:
It's so cutting-edge.
Old fogies may scoff,
but it's clear the best new Broadway
is off-off-off!
I SO relate to Lucy.
I 'heart' Trent.
It stars a social outcast.
Represent!
I'm totes obsessed.
It's just the best and free!
O.M.G.!
CLARKE (on the phone): Hey, Byron. It's me again. If you'd just give us a chance to explain. We meant to tell you, we did. It wasn't meant to hurt you. Please, please call me back.
LONELY GIRL:
I had no reason to live --
no boyfriend, no long term plan.
Then, I found your show 'ROMEO'
and now, I'm your biggest fan!
SETH (on the phone): Where are you? I need to see the completed script like yesterday!
BLOGGERS:
The story is yours.
The story is mine.
At the open call audition,
I'll be first in line.
It's more than just a web-show,
it's a way of life.
From the lowest lonely loser
to the hottest wife,
we can all relate.
And, that's what's great:
everybody sees a role they know
in ROMEO!

The Show Goes On
02:04
|
|||
You make some mistakes
but the show goes on.
The scenery breaks
but the show goes on.
People need that glitz and glitter
when life is bitter and slow.
Nobody likes to be a nobody.
The Show Goes On.
You might miss your cues
but the show goes on.
You might read reviews
but the show goes on.
If this right here's the life you're hot for,
it's clearly not for the dough.
No, it's the thrill you get from creating.
The Show Goes On.
There may be times
the going gets lonely,
when you're out on your own.
But, truth be told,
this life is the only one
you've ever really known...
You struggle for years
but the show goes on.
Ovations or jeers,
the show goes on.
Dream your dream.
It may sound silly
but if you're really a pro,
someday they'll know
your name in New York City.
'Til then, the Show Goes On!
